The Team
Joe Kraus
As one of the founding members of DIY Connection, Joe gets to blend his two passions: construction and helping people. He has a degree in construction management and has spent years in various areas of construction. Joe is a licensed Residential Builder, Building Inspector and Plan Reviewer, and carries several ICC Certifications. From swinging a hammer to managing large commercial builds, Joe has done a little bit of everything. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors including fishing and raising horses.
Jared Freeman
Jared Freeman is a Licensed Contractor and registered Code Official in the State of Michigan. He spent 6-1/2 years performing rental housing inspections for the cities of East Lansing and Ann Arbor. His experience includes residential and commercial trades work and inspections.
Jared enjoys managing his personal property investments and continuing his education in the fields of construction and property management. After work, he enjoys exercising, watching mixed martial arts, and spending time with his dog, Jade.
